چکیده

The accuracy of the traditional soil and plant-based techniques for assessing sugarbeet demand nitrogen (N) yield prediction is generally low. Refining N irrigation water management a key to maximizing return (Beta vulgaris L.) growers from agronomic, economic, environmental perspective. use Normalized Difference Vegetative Index (NDVI) in combination with unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV)-based data collection in-season estimation root sugar concentration has potential precision management. Sugarbeet field trials were conducted Idaho 2019 2020 assess (1) effects fertilizer rates on estimated recoverable (ERS) (2) feasibility predicting ERS using UAV NDVI. At lowest rate, application at 100% level resulted greater yield, compared 50%, both years. higher rates, 50% produced yields. each level, lower ERS, 50%. NDVI was strongly correlated ERS. relationship between stronger July (60 days after planting) June (40 planting). Estimating late June/early topdressing crop before end may help improve efficiency while optimizing production.

Sugarbeet Yield and Quality as Affected by Nitrogen Level

Thii study was conducted, under several climatic and soil conditions, to determine the effect of N level on beet yield and quality and to further develop and me both soil and tissue test methods for predicting N fertilizer needs for efficient refined sucrose production. Previous studies indicate that N fertilizer needs for =Wm= sucrose production may be predicted by con. sidering yieldpotential...

Yield and nitrogen leaching in maize field under different nitrogen rates and partial root drying irrigation

Irrigation water is limiting for crop production in arid and semi-arid areas. Furthermore, excess nitrogen (N) application is a source of groundwater contamination. Partial root drying irrigation (PRD) can be used as water saving technique and a controlling measure of groundwater N contamination. The objectives of this investigation were to evaluate the effect of ordinary furrow irrigation (OFI...

Estimation of cotton yield with varied irrigation and nitrogen treatments using aerial multispectral imagery

Cotton yield varies spatially within a field. The variability can be caused by various production inputs such as soil properties, water management, and fertilizer application. Airborne multispectral imaging is capable of providing data and information to study effects of the inputs on yield qualitatively and quantitatively in a timely and cost-effective fashion. A 10-ha cotton field with irriga...
